Kicking it for Christ – MLS DC United’s Taylor Kemp joins CAC!

    September 17, 2018, 2:21 pm

Major League Soccer’s DC United soccer star Taylor Kemp, a new addition to CAC’s lineup, recently spoke to Bishop O’Connell High School athletes in Arlington, Va., at their annual sports retreat led by Athletic Director Joe Wootten and Chaplain Father Gregory Thompson.

Kemp shared on-the-field stories from his collegiate, professional  and national team experiences and also the the story of his recent conversion to Catholicism.  Kemp poignantly explained to the interested athletes how he had reached every athletic goal he had set and still felt incredibly empty and unfulfilled.  It was then, in a tearful moment, he felt the call to Christ and His church.  Taylor entered the Church three year ago and jumped in with both feet.  He is completing a graduate degree in theology from the Augustine Institute and feels a strong mandate to evangelize.  CAC is excited to have Taylor join our team!
