Speaking Fees
Speaking Fee
The speaking fee varies with each speaker. Fees are based upon a number of factors including speaking experience, name recognition, and length of presentation.
Additional Expenses
In addition to the speaking fee, the host is responsible for all travel expenses, which include airfare, ground transportation, accommodations, meals, and incidentals.
Contractual Agreement
When a speaker confirms availability, a contract is sent to the host to ensure that the needs of both parties are clearly defined. Outlined in the contract are details of the event and duties the speaker is to perform.
Payment Terms
A retainer fee is collected at the time a speaker is booked for an event. This deposit guarantees the date is reserved on the speaker’s calendar.
Cancellation Policy
In the event of a cancellation by the host, the retainer fee will be forfeited. If a cancellation occurs within 60 days of the event date, the entire fee and any already incurred travel expenses will be due.
Audio/Video Taping of Appearances
Permission must be received from CAC prior to an event to audiotape or videotape a speaker’s presentation. If the event/speech is recorded, a quality copy must be given to CAC.
What Services Does CAC Offer?
CAC coordinates communication between the host and the speaker or speaker’s representative. It is the responsibility of the host to organize travel arrangements (flight, hotel, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, etc.) and plan the event.
